Mint Glint Media Limited has been turning ambitious ideas into unforgettable audiovisual experiences since 2016. Based at Hazina Trade Center in Nairobi, we run the Mint Glint Studio a state-of-the-art, one-stop multimedia production studio built to be the biggest and best-equipped of its kind in East and Central Africa, combining photography sets, video production, immersive live-event capability and a dedicated music and audio production section under one roof.
Role Overview
We’re hiring a Music & Audio Producer to own sound across everything the Content Hub touches original music and scoring, podcast and audio-for-video, live-event audio support, and polished final mixes that meet broadcast standard. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our video, live-events and creative teams, turning raw ideas and raw recordings into sound that elevates every deliverable we ship.
Key Responsibilities
Mentor and guide interns/junior audio staff on studio workflow and standards
Record, edit and produce original music, voiceover, and audio content across client and in-house projects
Compose and arrange music for video, advertising, and branded content briefs
Design and implement sound design for video, podcasts, and live/virtual event experiences
Mix and master audio to broadcast- and streaming-ready standards
Produce and edit podcast episodes end-to-end, from raw capture to publish-ready masters
Provide on-set and on-site audio support for shoots and live/hybrid events
Liaise directly with clients to understand creative briefs and translate them into sound
Organize, tag and archive audio assets, stems and session files with clean, consistent metadata
Coordinate with external vendors, session musicians and contractors as projects require
Curate and maintain sample libraries, sound effect banks and plugin/preset resources
Manage audio project budgets, timelines and delivery schedules alongside producers
Required Qualifications & Skills
A portfolio or demo reel showcasing 3–5 of your strongest, relevant works — required to apply
Fluency in Logic Pro and/or Pro Tools (primary); working knowledge of Ableton Live for composition/sound design; FL Studio familiarity a plus
Strong recording and microphone technique across voice, instruments and field capture
Demonstrated mixing and mastering ability across genres and formats
Solid understanding of signal flow, gain staging and studio signal chains
Comfort with plugin-based and outboard gear workflows
Proven experience collaborating with video/editorial teams on audio-for-picture
Experience curating and managing sample libraries and sound assets
Working knowledge of music theory (harmony, rhythm, arrangement basics)
Awareness of copyright, licensing and metadata best practice for commercial audio
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

- Vocal production/artist coaching
- Field recording
- Sound design for brand campaigns
- Existing music/production industry contacts.
Location & Working Pattern
Based on-site at the Content Hub studio, Hazina Trade Center, Nairobi. Some hybrid flexibility for editing/mixing work; on-site presence required for sessions, shoots and live events. Occasional travel for off-site event audio support.
